The Thanks we were Giving

We had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving with the family gathering at our place yesterday. Fewer numbers in attendance this year and a joy to have more time for those here. We had our first snowfall descend as the food with being enjoyed. We did not think much of it and then when folks were looking to head out we were surprised that there was a 2" accumulation and still snowing that wet slick snow. One group could not get up a local hill and had to have some boys get some dirt down so they could make it up. Another car hit a pole and had to be towed. Everyone is okay just not what one needs after such a good gather.

Today was a quiet day with the kids and a start on getting the snowblower in the tractor. I need to get a new belt tomorrow and we should be close to getting things buttoned up on that project. More snow is in the forecast for next week. We have been very fortunate with snow not arriving until this week.
